Dallas Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi
Friends and Leaders for Life
What an honor it is for me to serve as incoming president of the Dallas Alumnae Club of our beloved Pi Beta Phi, which this year is celebrating 150 years of sisterhood. Pi Phi is truly the tie that binds. As one of the largest alumnae clubs in the country, we invite you to join fellow Pi Phis for a memorable lineup of programs and events to commemorate this milestone and the lifetime gift of friendship – whether old friends or new – that comes with being true to the wine and silver blue.
This summer, I will travel to St. Louis with Pam Porter, recruitment information co-chair, for our national convention, “Celebrating 150 Years of Friends and Leaders for Life.” We are sure to return to Dallas filled with inspiration and fresh ideas to officially kick off the year with a joint September meeting on Wednesday evening, September 20th with our Daylight Angels, Shining Arrows and Junior Night Group. This annual event is always a joyous gathering and highlights the many ways members can connect, contribute and share in our unique sisterhood. Plans are also underway for our traditional Christmas Tea, Pink Party and Founders’ Day events; and fun-filled monthly meetings with intriguing speakers, organized by Mary Joy Hinton and Kathy Kelley. We will continue to show our love for Pi Phi in 2018 with an Ungala celebration, where Nancy Rogers and her band of angels will lead the way to raise funds for local literacy agencies. You won’t want to miss these special events!
Whether you are a first-time member, a long-time supporter, or have been away for a while and want to reconnect, we welcome you to your Alumnae Club. There is truly a place for everyone! Please take a moment to join or renew your membership for 2017-2018 by going to dallaspiphi.org. Deadline for recognition in the directory is June 30th. We can’t wait to make wine and silver blue memories with you this year!
