Catch Up & Read

Catch Up & Read is a non-profit, community-funded organization that provides directed intervention that enables lowest performing 1st – 3rd grade students to make gains in reading ability. Its vision is to transform lives by the power of reading.

Dallas Alumnae Club/Ann Dudgeon Phy Scholorship

This scholarship through Pi Beta Phi Foundation gives first preference to an active Pi Beta Phi collegian who is a resident of Dallas, Texas.

Jubilee Park and Community Center

 Jubilee Park and Community Center serves as a catalyst for the revitalization of  Southeast Dallas with an   emphasis on childhood and adult education and a holistic approach to the welfare of the individual reaching over 1100 residents annually.

Leonides Gonzales Cigarroa M.D. Elementary School  

Cigarroa Elementary School’s vision is to be a highly respected school in the city of Dallas where its students, staff and community feel safe, demonstrate their pride, share a love for learning, and where all students read above grade level in proficiency and are prepared to make their way to and through college.

 Pi Beta Phi Friendship Fund

Our gift to the Friendship Fund helps us fulfill Pi Phi’s mission. The Friendship Fund supports leadership development, scholarships, reading initiatives, heritage, and grants for sisters in need.

Pi Beta Phi Literacy Fund

Our gift to the Literacy Fund plays a critical role in the success of Pi Phi’s Read > Lead > Achieve® initiatives. The Foundation gifts back 25% of our donation as a Local Impact Grant to a partner of our choosing.

Readers 2 Leaders

Readers 2 Leaders is a literacy organization serving Dallas kindergarten and elementary students with after school and summer reading instruction. Its vision is for all students to have equitable opportunities to thrive as readers and leaders.

Ruth Altshuler Holiday Food Drive

Organized by beloved Dallas Pi Phi Member of Distinction, Ruth Altshuler, the Holiday Food Drive collects canned goods and other non-perishables for families in need at Brother Bills, CitySquare, Salvation Army, and Wilkinson Center.

United to Learn

United to Learn (U2L) is a Dallas-based education nonprofit with a stated mission of changing lives by trans- forming the relationship between schools and community. United to Learn is focused on accelerating student achievement across 103 Dallas ISD elementary schools, and growing purposeful leaders through partnerships with businesses, high schools, faith-based organizations, and engaged individuals and groups.

West Dallas Community School

West Dallas Community School is firmly committed to changing the narrative that a child’s zip code deter- mines a student’s academic success. They are dedicated to helping students realize their highest potential – spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, and creatively.
